September 30, 2017 – January 1, 2018

Fear is one of the most powerful and natural responses in the living world, and it can make you react physically, emotionally, and even socially!

Are you scared of animals? Or will you be willing to get zapped by a jolt of electricity? Does a loud thump in the night send you flying under the covers? Why are you scared of these things, and what does your body do in reaction to them?

Learn all about fear at the Aquarium’s newest changing exhibit, Goose Bumps: the Science of Fear! This changing exhibit opens on September 30 and continues through January 1, 2018!

From the Fear Lab to the Fear Challenge Course, you will find yourself immersed in the creepy and the crawly, and the things that go bump in the night. Be sure to check out how fear is interpreted in the brain’s pathways and how scientists measure fear, all in this exciting, interesting, and just a little creepy exhibit!

Goose Bumps! the Science of Fear is included in your Aquarium admission.
