The Virginia Aquarium's Homeschool Science Academy (HSA) offers STEM-themed programs for homeschool individuals to engage in hands-on experimentation and in-person scientific exploration.
Offered on select Wednesdays
Each class is limited to ten registrants (to provide physical distancing accommodations).
Adult chaperones are welcome to drop off their HSA-registered student(s) or purchase Aquarium admission to tour the exhibits with homeschool children that are not registered in the HSA class.
- Face-coverings must be worn by all students and chaperones.
Ocean Odyssey: Deep Sea Investigation

Calling all explorers! Discover the deepest portion of the ocean as you investigate the various methods oceanographers use to explore and study the ocean floor. Uncover unique animal adaptations found in some of the darkest locations on planet Earth.

Living with the Land
(Earth Science, Engineering)
Explore the composition of Earth's crusty coating, then use the Engineering Design Process to understand and mitigate the effects of natural disasters on humans and wildlife.
