School Holiday Camps 2023-2024
Camps aren't just for summer! We offer camps for special holidays throughout the school year for eager explorers to enjoy engaging experiences and unique ways to connect with wildlife.
The Virginia Aquarium is excited to host special holiday day camps during the school year for eager explorers! All camps offer a safe and unique experience for campers to connect with science and nature. Camps are offered for children ages 4 to 9, and must meet the specified age requirement by the time a camp begins. Birth certificates required for children age 4.
Member registration opens Wednesday, October 4 at 9:00am.
Public registration opens Friday, October 6 at 9:00am.
After you have registered, you will receive an email from ePACT Network to fill out paperwork for your child.

I Like to Move It! - SOLD OUT

Animals move in all different ways! Come explore with us as we investigate the crawlers, swimmers, and runners through games, crafts, animal encounters, and aquarium explorations including our new changing exhibit: Amazing Pollinators.
Rock Stars
- January 15 | 9:00am-1:00pm

Rocks make homes for all sorts of critters including crabs, sea stars, octopus and more! We will explore all the rock stars that call these areas home through silly dances, crafts, games and of course, getting up close and personal.
Forest Friends

Did you know there are forests underwater and on land! Come explore the forests of the world and the creatures that live in their various habitats through games, crafts, up close animal encounters and time exploring our new changing exhibit all about the Rain Forest!
Powerful Pollinators

Bees, birds, and even bats! We will discover some of the amazing creatures that ensure the survival of plants and animals. Through games, crafts, animal encounters, and exploring our new changing exhibit; Amazing Pollinators campers will be sure to be experts by the end.

Big teeth aren’t enough to scare us away! Discover the amazing ways predators find and capture their prey through crafts, games, up close animal encounters and more!
Amazing Adaptations

From speedy turtles to octopus who can change colors, nature is full of amazing adaptations that help animals survive in their unique environments. Let’s discover our own adaptions and see if we can survive the same way as other animals!
