Plan Your Next Event at the Virginia Aquarium
DAYTIME PRIVATE GROUP EVENTS
The Virginia Aquarium welcomes private daytime events including meetings, family reunions, and corporate picnics. A private group event features reduced admission to the Aquarium and a private area for your lunch or other activities; in addition, you may add a pontoon boat trip or IMAX movie at a reduced price.
Aquarium: Our group rate is $20 per adult and $15 per child, ages 3-11. There is no charge for children under the age of three. The minimum charge is $200 (10 adults) and we can accommodate up to 150 people. Based upon availability, you may select the Komodo Boardroom, Promenade Room, Changing Exhibits Gallery or Picnic Pavilion for your event.
Food & Beverage: Menus start at $30 per person (which includes all taxes and service charges) and is provided by Sodexo, our exclusive food service contractor. Other options include box lunches and café meal vouchers.
EVENING PRIVATE EVENTS
Aquarium: From a small dinner party in a room overlooking Owl’s Creek to a corporate event taking place throughout the Bay & Ocean Pavilion or Marsh Pavilion, hosting your affair at the Virginia Aquarium makes it truly memorable! : Starting at $40 per person (which includes all taxes and service charges), our Sodexo staff will help you plan a menu that is perfect for your gathering. Start with one of our menu packages and make it your own!
Sodexo and the Virginia Aquarium meets or exceeds the guidelines set forth in the Sensible Seafood℠ and Virginia Green conservation programs.
A portion of your rental fee is tax-deductible and helps support our animal care and conservation programs. Please consult your accountant or tax preparer for more information.
Weddings
Add life to the most exciting day of your life! From a romantic outdoor setting on peaceful Owls Creek to a rockin' reception with the sharks and sea turtles, Virginia Aquarium features the most unique spaces and special touches that make your special day.
All wedding and reception packages include:

An all inclusive package price to include the 6 passed hors d'oeuvres for one hour, 1 stationary hors d'oeuvres for one hour, dinner, champagne toast and 3 hour full bar services (beer, wine, and liquor), 20% service charge and taxes.

Social Events
The Virginia Aquarium is the ideal venue for retirement, military and graduation celebrations, proms and ring dances, non-profit fund raisers, bar/bat mitzvahs, anniversaries and birthday parties. Mini Taste of the Bay events with two, three or four courses and wine pairings are also offered.
