Volunteering
Page Content

Each month, more than 800 dedicated volunteers - ranging in age from 11 to 93 - unselfishly offer their time and talents. In return, volunteers are given the opportunity to learn and have fun sharing their enthusiasm for Virginia's marine environment with others. Volunteers are required to attend introductory classes and continuing education workshops.
Interested in volunteering at the Virginia Aquarium? Then join us at one of our winter volunteer open houses. Learn how volunteers work either behind the scenes for stores and exhibits amidst the guests as docents, or on the beach with stranded marine mammals and sea turtles. Choose the session that is best suited for you!
