Opportunities

Virginia Aquarium offers many opportunities to get involved and make a meaningful contribution to conservation. 

• Hundreds of volunteers work in many aspects of the Aquarium’s operations, from diving and animal husbandry to customer service and education. 

• We also have valuable internships for college students who are working toward degrees in science and education.

• Employment

  opportunities other than interns and volunteers are posted on the City of the Virginia Beach's WAVE website. 

• And of course, donations from community members and corporate citizens play a vital role in the Aquarium’s operations and conservation efforts.  We appreciate all those who give of their resources – whether time, talent or dollars -- to help us in our education and conservation mission.
