Chesapeake Light Tower Aquarium
Three species of graceful sea turtle paddle about the 70,000-gallon Chesapeake Light Tower Aquarium. The five loggerhead, green and endangered Kemp’s ridley sea turtles – the most species of sea turtle exhibited together anywhere – seem almost curious about visitors and allow for the some of the Virginia Aquarium’s most spectacular photo opportunities. Sharing their habitat are fish that are found in the waters about 15 miles off Virginia’s coast, including Atlantic spadefish, a large Goliath grouper, Triple tail, Cobia, Lookdown fish and Permits. See the fish and turtles in this Aquarium on our turtle cam.
